The Deal

Three Things, No Asterisks

  1. 1Money now. Real dollars, up front. Not revenue share. Not “we’ll cut you in once we’re big.” We start at $500. It goes from there. Here is what that buys — performers, artists, educators. Exposure comes later, once there are thousands of people through that door. For now, cash will have to do. Keep posting and we keep paying — we would very much like to keep paying you. And if you’re one of the first twenty through the door, the deal gets considerably better.
  2. 2We point traffic at you. This site is built to send people directly to your page(s). Your name, your handles, your links travel with everything you put here. That’s the business model, not a courtesy.
  3. 3We built the body. You bring the soul. The walls are up, the games work, the lights are on. What we need is you. Planned threads down the Rabbit Hole include #willitfit, #how-to and #art — here’s how tagging works. Got something for those? Please. Got one of your own you’d rather run with? Even better. We’re not handing out a brief — we would much rather be surprised.
First Twenty Only

Founding Creators

“Stay for the opportunity tomorrow” is easy to say and worth nothing unless somebody writes it down. So here it is, written down.

The first twenty creators to sign on become Founding Creators. It is not a badge. It is a standing position on the site, and it does not expire when the room fills up:

The catch, since we’re being straight with you elsewhere on this page: top billing on a site nobody has visited yet is still top billing on a site nobody has visited yet. All of this is a bet on the room filling up. The cash up front isn’t — that lands either way.

We’re asking you to bet on us. In return, we’re betting on you. Heavily.

How To Get In

  1. Ask for a code. Button below. Two minutes, no interview, nobody rings you.

Asking is not an agreement and it is not a job offer. It starts a review, and that is all it does. Nothing is owed by either of us until there is something signed.
  2. Show us two things that look like your work. Not your best two — your most representative two. Links are fine, and links are better: we would rather look at them where they already live than hold copies of them.

They do not go anywhere. Not posted, not published, not shown to anybody, and nothing of yours appears on this site until your application is accepted and you have agreed the terms in writing. That order never changes.
  3. We read it, and we come back either way. There are two answers and you will get one of them.

Yes, there is a paid slot. You get a brief — one page, plain English, what you deliver and what we pay for it. Say yes, send us the first part, and $300 goes out. The last $200 lands when the run finishes.

Not right now. Sometimes the paid slots are simply full. Your code still works, so post whatever you want and tag it #review for consideration when one opens — and you still get every bit of the promotion. Your name, your handles and your links travel with your work exactly the same as anybody else's. That part was never the paid half.

If it takes us more than a week, chase us. That means something went wrong at our end, not yours.
