Slightly Scandalous
Terms for Venues
Plain English, because you are agreeing to this on a phone behind a bar.
In force since 15 September 2026.
What you are getting
Slightly Scandalous is a question game your customers play on their own phones while the questions and answers appear on your screen. It is free. There is no contract term, no minimum, and nothing to cancel — if you never run it again, nothing happens.
What you are agreeing to
- It is your venue, and you can speak for it. You either own or manage the place, or someone who does has told you to set this up.
- Everyone who can see the screen is over 18. This is the one that matters most. Not everyone playing — everyone who can see it, including people walking past it on the way to the toilets.
- You picked the level and you own that choice. The four levels are described plainly before you choose, and the top two are explicit. What ends up on your screen follows directly from the number you typed in a box.
- You can stop it instantly. The console pulls the level down or ends the night in one press. If something is wrong for your room, that is the answer, and you do not need our permission.
- Your licence and your local rules are yours to know. We do not know what your premises licence says or what your council thinks about adult content on a screen in a public bar. You do.
What we do
- Give you the game, the questions and the screen page, free.
- Show only material from our own library at the level you chose. Nothing customers upload appears on your screen, and no pictures from the wider site are pulled into a bar game.
- Keep what you typed into the setup form — venue, town, email, the time, the levels and when you accepted these terms — so there is a record of who set the room up. We do not sell it.
- Answers customers type are anonymous, live only for that night, and are gone when the room closes.
What we do not do
- We do not check your venue, your licence or who you are beyond the email you confirmed.
- We are not in the room. Nobody at our end watches your screen or moderates your night.
- We do not promise the game will work on the night. It needs internet and a working screen, and neither of those is ours.
Stopping
You can end a night whenever you want from the console. We can switch a room off too — if it looks like it is not a real venue, if someone reports it, or if it is being used somewhere it should not be. We do not owe you a reason, and since nobody is paying anybody, nobody is out of pocket.
If something goes wrong
The game is provided as it is, free, with no guarantee. We are not responsible for what happens in your venue on a night you chose to run it at a level you chose to set. If that sounds one-sided, it is the trade for it being free and for you having complete control of the dial.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version applies to rooms set up after that. A room you have already confirmed runs under the terms you agreed to.
